Lura new CD and UK tour 2007
Monday, January 29th, 2007Lura’s eagerly awaited new CD, M’bem di Fora, is set for UK release in February 2007. It will have a wider range of styles as Lura continues her exploration of Cape Verde’s musical roots. Plans are currently underway for UK tour dates in May. Watch this space for more news
Pedro Luis Ferrer WOMAD Appearance
Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006Pedro Luis Ferrer played two great shows at WOMAD Reading on July 30th the second being recorded by BBC Radio3 for later transmission on Late Junction. Amongst those in the audience were World ROutes presenter Lucy Duran who declared Pedro one of the most important performers currently on the circuit from Cuba. Pedro was also introduced to legendary Malian Guitarist Djelimadi Tounkara who expressed his delight in Pedros songs and Tres playing – it would be nice if they had a chance to play together…..
