Nancy Vieira UK performances

March 2nd, 2006

Nancy Vieira played a couple of dates on February 25 & 26. The first show was at St. George’s Bristol, where she performed in front of a capacity audience in a concert recorded by BBC World Service. The next day she performed at Momo’s in London and also recorded a session for BBC Radio 3. These two shows provided an audience of nine million people!

The redordings where broadcast durinf the week following the performances and show nancy in contrasting form. The World Service recording was with a full band in concert setting, with the Radio 3 session – for World Routes, being an unplugged acoustic affair, that had a real intimacy that suited Nancy’s late night vocal style perfectly; her song Sagred (also the title of her excellent 2004 CD) being given a superb reworking.
